Welcome to Uganda and welcome to your safari! It all begins here with an introduction to your guide and with a chance for you to ask any questions. Then it's time to get out there and enjoy your safari. Because you chose Uganda, you have so much to look forward to.

Tucked away in the remote northeast of Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park protects a memorable landscape of grassy floodplains enclosed by rugged 9000ft peaks. In addition to four of the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, lion and leopard), the park harbors healthy populations of giraffe, zebra and various antelope. Local specialties include cheetah, eland (the world’s largest antelope), patas monkey and the lovely rose-ringed parakeet.

Depart this afternoon from Entebbe International Airport, which is 40km (25mi) southwest of Kampala.

Evening

Join us on an evening game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park. It's one of the highlights of being on safari and a great time to see animals in the best light.

This morning we head to one of the traditional wood-and-thatch Karamojong villages that stud the dry plains of the Karamoja Region.
